How do I add clues?

Write one answer and its clue per line, with a | between them: "Giraffe | The tallest animal". A colon or a tab works too, so you can paste two columns from a spreadsheet.

Why was a word left out?

Every answer has to cross another one, so it needs a letter in common with the rest. Add a few more answers, or click "Make a new layout" to try again.

Does it come with an answer key?

Yes. The last page shows the filled-in grid. Untick "Answer key page" if you only want the puzzle.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark on the puzzle. A small line at the bottom of each page credits the site.
